145% Growth in Women Served
WMM has experienced a staggering 145% increase in women served compared this time last year, reaching over 1,500 women total - half since Covid! This increase underscores the resilience and adaptability of our programs in the face of challenging times. As the world grappled with the profound effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, our commitment to serving our community only intensified.

Second Chance Cars Partnership
In a journey towards financial freedom, access to reliable transportation can be a game-changer. Recognizing this, WMM partnered with Second Chance Cars to allow our participants and graduates to become candidates for a used/refurbished vehicle.
Meet Sarah, a Financial Futures program graduate who escaped an abusive relationship and worked hard towards bettering her and her children's lives. After completing the program, and ultimately getting her own apartment, transportation was the last goal. We gifted a car with SCC to help Sarah and her three children get around safely. We are thrilled to offer this option to our community of women.

Community Engagements
Testifying
In October, our organization had the opportunity to testify alongside The Midas Collaborative and Financial Empowerment Network in advocating for financial literacy education in Massachusetts schools! We recognized the urgent need for financial literacy, as only 12% of girls feel confident making financial decisions, while 90% express a desire to learn about managing money.
WINN Panel
Danielle Piskadlo, our Executive Director, had the amazing opportunity to join the Women in Nonprofit Network (WINN) panel of leaders from various Greater Boston nonprofits who have pioneered and sustained strong partnerships with other nonprofits. WINN is a joint initiative between the Women's Foundation of Boston and the Red Sox Foundation to connect women leaders of Boston-area nonprofits better.

Your time can make a difference this holiday season
Madeline joined our financial wellness program to regain control of her finances and live sustainably on her income as she comes off assistance. Madeline was formerly incarcerated and moved from a sober home to her own apartment. She is doing a paid internship to build her skills and transition to a new career. She is proud of who she is and who she will become. Do you want to support Madeline as she works on regaining her financial wellness?
Join her in our virtual program starting Wednesday, Nov 29th, and runs for 11 weeks, 11:00 am-12:30 pm.
She shares her goals for the program, “I want to learn how to manage my money better as my income begins to grow. I need to work towards living within my means but also would like to be working towards a plan for financial security.”
